The Porter Cable Model 324 MAG (right-hand) or 423 MAG (left-hand)

OK, all circular saws are about the same right? Some big, some small. On the job, 'gotta carry along an extension cord and you always have to have a third hand to keep the power cord away from the blade. And, oh yeah – don't lose the arbor wrench.

NOT ANY MORE! The folks at Porter-Cable have done for the carpenter's best friend what the "keyless chuck" has done for the power hand drill (and a little more).

They have built a saw with two improvements that may just force you to reconsider your tried-and-true.

Their latest 7 1/4" saw comes with an extra long 10 foot heavy-duty cord and the saw has a clip that keeps cord away from blade side of tool and this a little lever that slides out of the arbor nut so you can turn it. It's called the Quik-Change™ keyless blade change system and it lets you changes blades in seconds – no fumbling for the arbor wrench. And, that's not all...

  • Most saws max out at 13 amps, this puppy has a motor rated at 15 amps @ 5,800 RPM.

  • It has an integrated dust exhaust port with 205-degree rotation and 1" O.D. for vacuum attachment.

  • Soft grip handle

  • 0-50 degree miter capacity and a positive stop at 45 degrees, and

  • It weighs in at at 9.6 lbs.

Standard Equipment includes the Saw, an 18T carbide tipped RAZOR™ blade, case and operating manual. Manufacturer's suggested retail price is $240. Street Price is around $130. Find it wherever Porter-Cable tools are sold. For more info visit www.porter-cable.com
