Inside the knob is a ratchet mechanism with a tiny flip lever that reverses the drive direction just like a socket wrench. Once the rod and nut are installed, tightening or loosening your blade is quick and easy. Fits most 14″ cast iron framed saws (Jet, Delta, Ridgid, Porter-Cable,Powermatic, Sears, etc.) with standard tension assembly. This product does not fit steel frame 14″ saws or any 12″ or 16″ cast iron framed saws.
