If your aim is to achieve a smooth finish, remove and shape wood safely in a controlled manner as well as in a confined area, then the coarse Blue, thin flat profile disc is what you need. This Coarse (Blue) thin flat profile disc part #10087 is a part of the Nick Agar Signature Series. It is an All Surface 3 Edge Tungsten Carbide Disc, has a 2” (50mm) diameter x 10mm center x 13/64″ (5mm) thickness and fits the Merlin2® miniature angle grinder that is a must have for your woodworking and woodturning projects. It also works well with higher powered, single speed mini grinders but you get tremendous control with our variable speed Merlin2®. The Medium, Thick, Flat Profile disc removes and shapes material moderately fast and is used on woodturnings and carvings, leaving a smooth, surface finish. Cutting down into the wood, it leaves a plunge cut about 1/4” (0.25mm) wide, leaving a medium edge finish. It is the second finest surface or edge finish in the set of 4. The great feature about all these four discs is their ability to cut on all sides at the same time, on the face like sandpaper, on edge, like a saw or blade, on the back, like you haven’t experienced before and plunge cutting, then using the front and back of the discs to smooth the opposite sides of the wood e.g. spiral cuts on woodturning.
