Take the guesswork out of creating an heirloom game board with this beautiful real wood Natural and Black Dyed Maple Veneer crafted in a chessboard / checkerboard pattern. Design and build your own custom frame by incorporating drawers for storage of pieces or just adding a simple border. The 2″ x 2″ squares are adhered to a solid sheet of Mahogany veneer for added strength and stability. Veneer will need to be applied to a stable, flat substrate, such as Baltic Birch plywood – we recommend 1/2″ (12 mm) or 3/4″ (18 mm).
