Product Description
The Shinwa Japanese Miter Rule is a combination square with a 90deg try square and a 45deg miter square. Because the size of the tool matches the width and thickness of a 2×4, it’s a snap to scribe 90deg and 45deg angles on your lumber. Clever markings make it easy to divide the lumber’s thickness into equal halves (for lap joints), thirds (for bridle joints), or quarters (for finger joints). In addition, guides are included for even marking of screw holes, and handy measurements in 1/16″ go down the length of three sides. It is specifically designed for use with 2×4 and 4×4 lumber projects, so it is commonly used to build outdoor projects constructed with standard dimensional lumber. The clear anodized aluminum construction is light and sturdy, meaning you can toss this tough little tool in your toolbox without fear.
