Product Description
Amazakoue (Guibourtia ehie) is known for its eye-catching blend of warm tones and contrasting streaks, ranging from yellowish browns to deep reds and dark veining. Its straight to subtly interlocked grain and medium-to-coarse texture give it both visual and tactile interest. While the wood is fairly easy to handle, the presence of silica may dull blades faster, and interlocked grain can lead to tearout when planing. Excellent for turning, gluing, and finishing, Amazakoue is a versatile wood favored in high-end cabinetry, fine furniture, musical instruments, and decorative veneers.
