Product Description
Cocobolo (Dalbergia retusa) is recognized for its bold, multi‑colored appearance, featuring tones of yellow, orange, red, and brown with distinctive black or purple streaking. The wood darkens with exposure, developing a deep orange‑red hue. Dense and heavy, Cocobolo has an irregular grain pattern and a medium‑fine texture, along with naturally occurring oils that enhance decay resistance. It is widely used for fine furniture, musical instruments, turnings, and other detailed specialty items, offering excellent turning properties.
