Cocobolo (Dalbergia retusa) displays an exceptional range of color, including yellow, orange, red, and various brown tones accented by black or purple streaking. With exposure, its coloration deepens to a rich orange‑red. This dense, heavy wood features an irregular grain and a medium‑fine texture, along with natural oils that provide excellent resistance to decay.
