The plan is very versatile, however, as you could easily replace the raised panels with solid pieces and a quick change of scroll work will each give the chest the look of a more traditional cedar “hope” chest. If desired, it can be lined with aromatic red cedar, cedar flakeboard, or made from solid cedar. All joinery is shown in actual size, curved workpieces are all in full size and you can measure and trace straight from the drawing.
