The WoodRiver Ceramic In-line Vegetable Peeler Turning Kit features a heavy-duty casting that holds the ultra-sharp peeler blade made of zirconium oxide ceramic, which is second only to diamonds in hardness and remains sharper longer than any steel. Using a 3/4″ x 3/4″ x 5″ blank, bore a 1/4″-diameter hole 7/8″ deep. Mount the blank between centers, using a four-jaw scroll chuck or spur drive combined with a 60 cone, turn to your desired profile, sand up to 320 grit, and apply a finish of your choice. Using either a thick CA or five-minute epoxy, apply adhesive to the rings on the peeler and insert into the turned handle. Be sure to wipe of any excess adhesive.
